the Christmas holiday period and Christie was on vacation in Florida when she did what she was consistent about for the months of house hunting ahead; she answered the phone. She also stuck by me through my own evolution (and maybe some animated debates) of determining exactly what type of house I really wanted, including all my non-standard requirements for hobbies and work. That’s not to mention the crazy 2021 housing market that was a literal bidding war and all the houses we lost to outrageous offers. Remember, this was all while I was on the road full time. With her unwavering weekly ritual of searching with me, she identified the ‘diamond in the rough’ that I would eventually call home, and it was below the estimated value. Once the negotiations began, Christie worked with me on the critical points and was tenacious in ensuring they were met. The home is great and I’m happily settling in. Over the course of this adventure, we have become friends and she encouraged me to explore the Colorado Mountains and enjoy a Colorado lifestyle. Christie helped me sell my home after a divorce. She came to my home and projected views of each avenue I could take to fit my situation and to help me understand and prepare to sell and maximize the sale price. She showed me what other houses were selling for in my area and brought me to an understanding of what the market was like in my area. She walked me through where and what to spend money on when it came to fixing things and where not to spend money. She informed me that the coming months were definitely the best time to sell. After making repairs on the home, I decided to rent it for a few months. With that not working out we listed the house after the market had cooled down a bit and less buyers were looking.
