Nan-Elizabeth and her sister grew up relocating frequently. Her father was a corporate executive and her mother was an active community volunteer and career housewife. As a child, she had aspirations of becoming a pediatric nurse or an attorney. After r eceiving h er u ndergraduate d egree a nd a masters degree in liberal arts, she decided to go to law school. Before taking the LSAT she took a summer job. That s ummer j ob l ed t o a career in the international department of a Dallas bank. One of her responsibilities was relocating executives and their families to and from international branches of the bank. She arranged for their working visas, residency permits, and made travel arrangements for international destinations. Additionally, she coordinated moving and housing for the families. She also oversaw and coordinated the disposition of any domestic real estate owned by the relocating family. The seeds of a future real estate career were being sown! A life long thirst for learning has led Nan-Elizabeth to achieve many specialty real estate designations including that of International Property Specialist, Real Estate Negotiation Expert, and the GREEN designation. She has served the industry as a member and chairman of the forms and contract committee of her local association and currently serves the state association as a member of the professional standards committee and a mediator utilizing the alternative dispute resolution certificate she received from Southern Methodist University. Working with inherited real estate began early in her career. One of her clients called to say his neighbor had died and he wanted to purchase her house. The o nly h eir w as a charity headquartered about 50 miles away and the transaction took fourteen months to complete!
