OVER PROFIT: THE FOUNDATION OF A STRONG REAL ESTATE TEAM
Corwyn's success has allowed him to build a team with mission-driven core values that emphasize people over profit. The foundation of this begins in his mindset about recruiting:
Having built up a reputation of commitment to the community, Corwyn has been able to withstand market fluctuations or downturns due to his community seeing him as a person who can be trusted no matter what the market looks like. Corwyn truly sees his vocation in real estate as “a ministry, caring for meeting the needs of others.” Despite any skepticism, Corwyn remains dedicated to principles of “going to your neighbor's aid.” If it's only about the money, then you won't make it long with me because my core is in the service to the people. Period. So if you are not focused, and don't have that as part of your core mission, then we'll have challenges. We will bump heads, and eventually, one of us is going to go somewhere. …My agents were willing to sacrifice in order to get people across the finish line. And that's something I love. This buyer needs a home warranty? I'll pay for the warranty myself. Those kinds of things. I've been recruited, and everyone that recruits me typically starts off wrong. They start off by trying to tell me how much money I'm going to make…. I want you to tell me how I'm going to be able to assist and serve more people. What I look for are agents who are looking to help and serve people. Yes, you need to make money. Yes, you have bills. Yes, you want to make more money, and I'm okay with that, but how are you going to serve more people in the process?
