Carrie Thompson - HOME-SELLING SECRETS FROM A TOP AGENT

So we’re all in agreement about what a difference good pictures can make, right? If you want to take it a step further, consider making a video. And I’m not talking about a montage using pictures, although that’s certainly another option. I mean a live- action video where either you or someone else walk around the outside and inside of the home while narrating what you’re seeing. You can have a person in front of the camera or talk from behind it—either is fine. Regardless, it’s a great way to highlight all the important features of your home, and it’s the next best thing to buyers doing the walkthrough themselves. It’s not unheard of for buyers to make an offer without physically seeing the place first. Often they live far away or have other reasons it’s hard for them to get over to your place. At best, a video will make them more comfortable with making that offer. And if they’re not quite ready for that, it may still put your home on the top of their list of places to visit when they can finally get themselves to the area.
