About Rita Barnes Rita was raised in Long Beach, CA with 2 siblings. As a child, Rita had aspirations of being an Officer in the Military. Never in a million years did she think she'd stumble into the real estate industry, but you can’t always predict where or when you’ll discover what you’re meant to do in life. Rita was taught at a young age that if you want something in life, you have to work for it. So that’s what she did. And she worked hard. As the years went by, Rita worked her way from Taco Bell to DON Civil Service, never wavering in her resolve to become the best version of herself with each career move. Rita got into the real estate industry when she retired from Civil Service, sold her home in California and relocated to Virginia. She set out to help others with one of the most stressful experience they will go through life. She wanted to be a buffer between the client and the process so their experience would be stress free and memorable. As her career advanced, Rita found her stride working with first time home buyers and sellers. She is an expert with her compassion, patients, understanding and support. Throughout her career, Rita has gained numerous long term friendships with prior customers and clients. Rita lives in Suffolk with her labradoodle, Cooper. In her free time she enjoys working out, reading, playing with the grand kids and Cooper.
