not feeling good in January of 2020 and was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. Anne got me in quick, she saved my life! They took out 18” of mom’s intestines. The liver and the skin are the only organs that grow back. The operations were successful and mom lived cancer free for 12 more years.

My Work History After Bankruptcy

So, I had been worth $6 million but now was divorced, no credit and pretty much homeless, depressed and suicidal. Not a good place to be but instead of jumping off of the Bay Bridge I would just pretend that the old me had died and was I born again, I started a new life. It worked; my second life was better that my first life. Fact is that my second life has been absolutely incredible!

Like I said: Never give up, never surrender!

I got a job with Nivmar Concrete as their estimator. Critical job because if I bid too high then we would not get any jobs. If I bid too low then we would lose money and be out of business. I bid the jobs to win and keep 40 employees busy full time. Of the 40 co-workers 37 had fled from Nicaragua to avoid the Socialist Sandinistas trying to take over. Most of them came over legally, I know that because we had to go through a very through background check for the White House renovations. Right about this time, July 4th of 2001, Tony and I decided to head to Florida, the Sunshine State, for his baseball adventures.
