They did an EKG on me and the Mexican doctor said I had a heart attack sometime in the past, I think I would remember that, I don't think the heart attack ever happened. I told him "don't worry about it, let's keep going," I think he said "si, bueno, no problemo!"
The gastric sleeve made my stomach about 1/4 the size of what it had been, I was unable to eat much but I wasn't hungry. It worked; I went from 300 pounds to less than 200 pounds. Right now I am just under 200 and my health has never been better. My A1c is down from 8.5 to 5.7, fasting glucose is under 90, liver is great, cholesterol is perfect, blood pressure is perfect!
So once again I avoided death and I keep getting better all the time! When people ask me how I'm doing I always say "fat and happy!"
Extreme River Adventures
I have always enjoyed the water with my favorite adventures being running the rapids! After getting my Eagle Scout award I was part of an Explorer Scouts Post that concentrated on monthly canoe trips. Even in the winter, even in the snow.
