Contact your friends and family who o ff ered to help with the packing and moving, and inform them of your schedule.
One Week Before the Move:
• Con fir m moving details. If you’re hiring a moving company, contact them to con fir m details, such as time of arrival and pickup. • Create a timetable for moving day . Th is timetable should include items like time to start loading boxes, where/when to stop for lunch, estimated time of arrival at the new place, etc. Doing this will give you a sense of what to expect and prepare for on the day itself. • Finish packing. If you have it, enlist the help of volunteer family and friends t o fin ish packing all your things, leaving behind only the essential items you’ll be using every day. • Check your boxes.
