I later transferred my license to Mackintosh Realty. My first month with Mackintosh Realty I sold 5 buildings for a total of $325,000 and I was their number one salesman. In todays inflated dollars that is equivalent to about One Million in sales. Lookin kind of scruffy! Could use a shave and a hair cut. I did residential sales for a few years then graduated to selling investment properties. Bigger commissions and more control of your time. No open houses on Sundays and the decision to buy was based on the building's numbers not the emotional factors that control most residential home buying decisions. I made enough money to buy some real estate, some real nice cars and several motorcycles. My cars included a 1972 Mercury Cougar and a brand new1976 Thunderbird – it was beautiful! Mom and dad would borrow the T-bird when they went out to visit the family in Belleville. Even Scott took the T-Bird to his prom.
