by Rick Davis - This Incredible Adventure Called Life

I had four different motorcycles including a Triumph 650 Tiger which I converted to a chopper while in high school. I also had a 4 cylinder 750 Honda and had a Kawasaki dirt bike for some off- road fun. I bought a 2/2 condominium right across the street from the Glenmont Subway Station. My wonderful first wife, Catherine moved in with one of her girlfriends before we got married. I stayed at my parent’s house on Brad Drive, Rockville. I received a phone call one day from a CPA Financial Planner, Richard Berher. He asked to speak with Richard Davis in order to setup an appointment to meet and discuss my future financial plans. Sounded exciting so I invited him over. Turns out he was not looking for a 21-year-old but was actually looking for my dad. When he got to our house, he quickly realized that I was not a good prospect for his Estate Planning services so he politely excused himself but as he went to the door mother nature began a torrential downpour that kept the no umbrella Mr. Berher in the house speaking with me. We had a great chat and by the time he left 45 minutes later he had decided to introduce me to his boss, William Wallace, just like in Brave Heart. I was invited to interview for a position setting up savings and insurance plans for college students. I took some kind of placement aptitude test and when my second interview came up, they decided I did so well that I should jump over the college students and start right away with training for full financial estate planning for business owners, wealthy executives and high-level federal government workers.
